Healthy Travel Tips

People are traveling and flying more and more everyday. It is important to keep your health first when traveling and sometimes that is easy to forget. There will be plenty of time to sit while you are on the plane, so use your waiting time to walk around and get your blood flowing and your muscles limber. Even if you have extra luggage you can carry it around and add the extra weight which will make your muscles work even harder, therefore burning more calories and boosting the metabolism. Avoid the people movers as you get closer to your gate. Use your time wisely and walk the distance. Your body will see an increase blood flow and will bring on big time benefits once on the plane.

One of the major reasons for jet lag is dehydration. The cabin inside the plane is like a huge dehumidifier. It can rapidly get rid of your body's fluids without you even realizing it. The key is to stay hydrated which means continuously drinking water.

Top 10 Travel Tips

More and more people are travelling abroad for their vacations than ever before and hopefully the great majority of them return home with many enjoyable experiences to remember and to recount to their maybe less fortunate friends.

Unfortunately this doesn't always happen and the reason is often down to lack of preparation and planning on the behalf of the traveller.

Having travelled extensively through my work and because of my passion with learning about the world and its people I'd like to pass on a few tips picked up from personal experience that may help anyone travelling to far climes.

Important Things You Need to Check Before Your Departure

Vacations are meant to bring pleasure and relaxation to individuals. However, it is dreadful when you are already on your trip then you realize that there are a few important things that you forgot to bring with you. Below is a simple checklist that can help you organize and prepare important stuff prior to departure.

* Passport. This is the first thing to check when traveling out of the country. You need to ensure that is current and non-expired. Ensure that you were able to acquire the necessary visas for your travel. It is best to make copies of your passport while on travel and to leave with friends or relatives.
* Travel Advisories. Countries that you will visit may have recent travel advisories for precautions, disasters or even things that are not allowed to be brought in the country.
* Vaccinations. It is best to have vaccine shots for an added protection when you go to countries. Some countries recommend or require vaccinations for entry.
* Airline Tickets. Nowadays, airline tickets come in two forms, the traditional paper tickets and the e-tickets or electronic tickets. Ensure that you have your tickets with you. Remember to print your confirmation should you have purchased the e-ticket for your trip. Make copies of the e-ticket too.
